Improv and Impact is a donate-what-you can event featuring workshops for educators and teens on the autism spectrum, plus an entertaining showcase for anyone who wants to see how improv can support social skills.
1:00pm - Educator Workshop
Dr. Jim Ansaldo will work with educators, teaching improv techniques and their application to supporting teens on the spectrum. This is educators’ chance to be learners – to try out the games and get comfortable with taking risks and letting go of mistakes.
2:00pm - Student Workshop
Teens on the spectrum join Jim and the educators for an hour of improv games. Teens have fun building social skills, and educators have a chance to see improv in action with real live young people.
3:00pm - Showcase
Laugh your way through an hour of comedy that is made up on the spot from your suggestions. Camp Yes And alumni (educators and students) perform and then answer your questions about camp, improv, and how it has impacted their lives.
